The Ideal North Scottsdale Golf Trip Itinerary
SP
Few stays in the country combine championship desert golf, proximity, and year-round playability the way North Scottsdale does.

The key is staying in the right location. Saguaro Point sits between Troon North and Grayhawk, placing your group at the center of Scottsdale’s most iconic desert golf.
Instead of driving 30 minutes to warm up, you start every day at your own private 20,000 square foot golf complex with 4 greens, 6 tees, a Full Swing golf simulator and a lighted putting.
Every round begins at Saguaro Point.
Every night ends there.
Now here’s how to actually do the trip right.
Day 1: Arrival, Play Grayhawk Raptor
Fly into PHX. It’s about 35 minutes to Saguaro Point.
Drop bags. Grab a drink. Head to Grayhawk Golf Club.
Start on Raptor. It has hosted PGA Tour events and it shows with excellent conditioning. The last 5 holes are one of the better stretches of golf in the area.
Pro tip, visit Phil’s Grill at Grayhawk. The wings are elite. Crispy, not greasy, and built for post-round hunger.
If the group wants more scene, Isabella’s Kitchen is right across the street. Good cocktails. Lively patio, great hang.
Back at Saguaro Point, settle into a lighted putting contest under the desert sky.
You’re not in a resort courtyard.
You’re home.
Day 2: Morning Warmup and Troon North Monument
Coffee. Desert sunrise. Private short game warmup at Saguaro Point. No range lines. No strangers.
Then Troon North Monument just 5 minutes away.
Massive granite boulders. Elevated tees. True desert golf. It’s a Scottsdale postcard course.
Dinner options:
The Italian Daughter for a strong upscale dinner with homemade pasta.
Mastro’s if the group wants a steakhouse statement night.
Day 3: Desert Adrenaline and Troon North Pinnacle
Morning off course.
Book a private UTV desert tour with Arizona Outdoor Fun. It is one of the best ways to experience the terrain you’ve been playing through.
For groups who want something different, Arizona Outdoor Fun offers curated shooting range experiences that are well run and professional from handguns to .50 caliber rifles.

Afternoon round at Troon North Pinnacle. Slightly more forgiving than Monument, but just as dramatic.
Evening option: private chef dinner at Saguaro Point. Zero driving. Zero noise. Full privacy.
Day 4: Grayhawk Talon and Scottsdale Nightlife
Warm up at Saguaro Point again. It becomes part of the ritual.
Play the Talon course at Grayhawk. Wide corridors, undulating greens, and even an island green.
That night:
If a Wednesday or Friday night, head to Cave Creek and Buffalo Chip for barbeque and amateur bull riding. This is not to be missed.
Day 5: Final Morning and Departure
Enjoy the majestic morning sunrise and hit some final balls from the Morning Coffee tee just off the kitchen. Final putting contest. Settle bets.
You’ll leave already planning next year.
Because once you’ve done a Scottsdale golf trip anchored at Saguaro Point, staying anywhere else feels like a downgrade.
