Room for Sixteen, 30 Minutes From the Arena
All-Star Weekend returns to Phoenix in February 2027. Saguaro Point is a private North Scottsdale estate with eight bedrooms, a heated pool, and a game room, about a half hour from Mortgage Matchup Center.
NBA All-Star Weekend comes back to Phoenix February 19 to 21, 2027, the first time the city has hosted since 2009. Downtown hotel rooms will be gone early and priced for the occasion. Saguaro Point keeps your whole group in one house, about 30 minutes from Mortgage Matchup Center.
The house is 9,000 sq ft on ten gated acres in North Scottsdale. Eight bedrooms, 13 beds, 6.5 baths, room for 16 guests. There are three separate great rooms for a full house to spread out in, a heated pool and spa outside, and a game room with billiards, a poker table, and a Full Swing golf simulator.
The weekend runs three days. Friday night is Rising Stars and the celebrity game, then the skills challenge, three-point contest, and dunk contest take over Saturday. Sunday is the game itself. Fan events and parties fill downtown Phoenix and Old Town Scottsdale the rest of the time, which is the argument for having somewhere quiet to come back to each night.
Why Saguaro Point
Sixteen Guests, One Address
Eight bedrooms, 13 beds, 6.5 baths: everyone under one roof instead of splitting across a dozen hotel rooms at All-Star pricing. The cost per person still lands lower.
30 Minutes to the Arena, 25 to Old Town
Mortgage Matchup Center is about a half-hour drive. Old Town Scottsdale is roughly 25 minutes. Sky Harbor is 30 to 35, so a group arriving on different flights is easy to sort out.
Somewhere to Go After the Game
Billiards, a poker table, a Full Swing simulator, a heated pool and 104-degree spa, and fire pits on the patio. The backyard putting green is lighted, so the last contest of the night usually happens out there.
Sixteen Guests, Eight Bedrooms, Ten Gated Acres
Saguaro Point is a 9,000 sq ft house on ten gated acres in North Scottsdale, a half hour or so from Mortgage Matchup Center. Eight bedrooms, 13 beds, 6.5 baths: the math works even when everyone wants to shower before the same tip-off. Every bedroom is a real bedroom with a queen or larger bed, and each one is named for a Scottsdale course. Downtown hotels during All-Star will be two guests to a room at event pricing, with a crowded lobby every time you come back. Here you get three separate great rooms to gather in, a kitchen big enough to actually cook in, and nobody else on the property.

How Groups Usually Run the Weekend
The three nights break down the same way for almost everyone who stays here. Friday brings Rising Stars and the celebrity game; Saturday night is the skills challenge, three-point contest, and dunk contest; the game itself closes out Sunday at Mortgage Matchup Center. Fan events and invite-only parties run across downtown Phoenix and Old Town for all three days on top of that. A typical stretch: golf Friday morning before the night session, pool and simulator time Saturday, brunch at the house ahead of Sunday's game, fire pits whenever everyone gets back. VacayAZ can put a chef in the kitchen for the mornings, which beats finding sixteen seats for breakfast on an All-Star Sunday.

Drive Times and Getting Around
Mortgage Matchup Center in downtown Phoenix is roughly a 30-minute drive. Old Town Scottsdale, where a lot of the weekend's restaurants and nightlife are, is about 25 minutes. Phoenix Sky Harbor is 30 to 35 minutes, which makes staggered arrivals simple when the group is flying in from different cities. Expect traffic downtown to be heavier than normal on event nights. Most groups sort out transportation once and stop thinking about it. Rideshare works, and VacayAZ can arrange private drivers or a van so everyone travels together and nobody has to be the designated driver three nights running.

There Are Only So Many Houses That Sleep Sixteen
Hotels can always release more rooms. A private house is either open for your dates or it is not, and in a host city the ones that hold a real group go first. We take one group at a time, so February 2027 at Saguaro Point is a single booking with a single set of dates. Reservations and coordination run through VacayAZ, the property's booking partner. One confirmation covers everybody, which is a lot less work than chasing a dozen hotel bookings and hoping they end up in the same building. If your dates are firm, it is worth asking now.

February Is the Best Golf Month of the Year Here
All-Star lands in the middle of peak Scottsdale golf season, with mild days and the courses in their best shape. Troon North is 5 minutes from the gate, Grayhawk is 10, The Boulders is 15, and TPC Scottsdale, home of the WM Phoenix Open, is 20. Tee times that week are the hardest of the year to get, so ask VacayAZ early. On the property there is a private Celebrity Greens practice complex with 4 greens, 6 tee boxes, and 2 bunkers for putting and short game work, plus the indoor Full Swing simulator when nobody feels like leaving. Three four-seat golf carts stay on site for moving between the house, the pool, and the greens.

The Experience

Frequently Asked Questions
How far is Saguaro Point from Mortgage Matchup Center?
About a 30-minute drive. Mortgage Matchup Center is in downtown Phoenix, and the estate is in North Scottsdale, so it is an easy trip for the game and for the parties and fan events happening downtown all weekend.
Is the All-Star Game the only event of the weekend?
No. Three nights, not one: Rising Stars and the celebrity game Friday, the skills challenge and three-point and dunk contests Saturday, then the game itself Sunday. League fan events and parties run across downtown Phoenix and Old Town Scottsdale the entire weekend, so plan around all three, not just Sunday.
How many people can stay together for All-Star Weekend?
Sixteen, comfortably: 8 bedrooms and 13 beds, with 6.5 baths so a full house doesn't turn into a bathroom line every morning. It's one booking for the group, not a block of rooms at a hotel charging event-weekend rates.
How far is Saguaro Point from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport?
Thirty to thirty-five minutes from Sky Harbor, door to door. That's close enough that staggered arrivals aren't a headache when everyone's flying in from a different city. VacayAZ can arrange black car pickups if renting a fleet of cars sounds like a chore.
Can transportation be arranged for nights in Phoenix?
Yes. Rideshare covers most nights out, and plenty of groups add a private driver or a stretch limo for the bigger parties. VacayAZ handles the reservations either way.
When did Phoenix last host All-Star Weekend?
2009, in the same downtown arena that now carries the Mortgage Matchup Center name. An eighteen-year gap means 2027 demand will be enormous, for tickets and for any house big enough to hold a real group.
What is there to do at the house between events?
A game room with billiards and poker, a Full Swing golf simulator, a heated pool and spa, and fire pits keep the group entertained between trips into Phoenix. The backyard putting green is lighted for late-night putting contests.
Is anything else happening in Scottsdale that weekend?
Yes. The Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show closes its eleven-day run at WestWorld that same weekend, and the WM Phoenix Open runs the week before. February is the busiest month of the Scottsdale year, which is one more reason to lock lodging early.
