Four Greens in the Backyard, Twenty Minutes From TPC Scottsdale
A private 9,000 sq ft estate on ten gated acres in North Scottsdale, with its own practice complex and room for a group of sixteen.
The WM Phoenix Open is the best-attended tournament in golf. Hundreds of thousands of people come through TPC Scottsdale over the week, and lodging in North Scottsdale is spoken for months ahead. Saguaro Point is about 20 minutes from the course: 9,000 sq ft on ten gated acres, eight bedrooms, thirteen beds, 6.5 baths, sleeping up to 16.
The backyard is a Celebrity Greens practice complex, four greens, six tee boxes and two bunkers, with a Full Swing simulator indoors. The putting green is lighted, so the short game keeps going after dinner. On the days you want a full round, Troon North is 5 minutes from the gate and Grayhawk is 10.
Golf Digest called a stay here the greatest buddies trip of all time. Travel + Leisure has listed the estate among the best Airbnbs for golf lovers, and it took Best Luxury Vacation Rental in Scottsdale at the 2026 Evergreen Awards. The estate hosts one group at a time, and Open week is the week it gets asked for most.
Why Saguaro Point
Twenty Minutes to TPC Scottsdale
Close enough to run in for the gates opening and back whenever your group is done, and far enough north that you drive against the heaviest Loop 101 traffic instead of into it. VacayAZ can set up a standing driver for the week.
Four Greens, Six Tee Boxes, Two Bunkers
A Celebrity Greens practice complex in the backyard, a Full Swing simulator indoors, and a lighted putting green for chipping and putting after dark. Three four-seat carts move people around the property.
Sixteen People, One Address
Thirteen beds spread across eight bedrooms and 6.5 baths, plus a casita above the garage with its own great room and kitchenette. One booking, one address, and a lower cost per person than a block of rooms at a tournament-week hotel.
Twenty Minutes North of the Course
Lodging within walking distance of TPC Scottsdale is scarce, loud, and priced for the week. Saguaro Point is about 20 minutes north of it, close enough to run in for the gates opening and back whenever your group has had enough. The worst of it funnels through a handful of Loop 101 exits, Thursday through Saturday, mornings especially and again once the leaders finish for the day. Coming from the north side, you're driving against that traffic, not into it. Sky Harbor is 30 to 35 minutes for anyone flying in, Old Town is about 25 for a night out, and VacayAZ can arrange black car service so nobody in the group is thinking about parking.

Eight Bedrooms, Thirteen Beds, 6.5 Baths
During Open week hotel rates spike and a group of sixteen ends up scattered across floors, sometimes across properties. One house fixes that: everyone at one address, one booking, and a schedule nobody else sets. Three separate great rooms keep the early risers and the late crowd out of each other's way, and the casita above the garage has its own great room and kitchenette. The game room has billiards and poker with the Full Swing simulator a few steps away, the pool is held at 88 degrees in the cooler months with the spa at 104, and the Four Seasons resort and spa is directly across the street when someone wants a spa morning or a dinner out.

The Practice Complex in the Backyard
Celebrity Greens built the practice complex here: six tee boxes, four greens, and two bunkers spread across the ten acres, enough to cover most of a short game without leaving the gate. Indoors, the Full Swing simulator handles the hours when it's too dark or too hot to be outside. Chipping and putting keep going long after dinner on the lighted backyard green. Three four-seat carts move people out to the far greens. Troon North is the closest full round at 5 minutes from the gate, then Grayhawk at 10 and The Boulders at 15; VacayAZ has the tee times booked before you land.

Monday to Sunday of Open Week
Arrive Monday or Tuesday and get a round in early, while the courses around town are still quiet. Wednesday is the pro-am at TPC Scottsdale, and a good day to have VacayAZ stock the kitchen for the rest of the week. Thursday through Sunday are tournament days: out early, because the 16th hole grandstands fill fast once the weekend arrives, and back at the house in the afternoon or the evening depending on who wants what. Nights run late on the patio with the fire pits going. Sunday the leaders finish, and most groups end the week around the dining table with a chef brought in for it.

The Experience

Frequently Asked Questions
How far is Saguaro Point from TPC Scottsdale?
About a 20-minute drive from the estate to TPC Scottsdale and the WM Phoenix Open grounds. Staying in North Scottsdale keeps you close enough for an easy daily trip while putting you outside the worst of the congestion around the venue.
How many people can stay together for Open week?
Sixteen guests total: eight bedrooms, 6.5 baths, and thirteen beds between them, all under one roof instead of split across hotel floors during the busiest week on the Scottsdale golf calendar.
How far in advance should we book for the WM Phoenix Open?
Open week is the most in-demand week of the Scottsdale year, and houses that sleep sixteen go first. Six months out is the minimum we would count on, and a year ahead is not unusual for a group this size.
Can our group play golf during Phoenix Open week?
Not on the estate itself, but the backyard practice complex covers a lot of it: two bunkers, six tee boxes, four greens, plus a Full Swing simulator indoors. For an actual round, Troon North is the nearest at 5 minutes, then Grayhawk at 10 and The Boulders at 15. VacayAZ can have those tee times booked before you arrive.
What makes the 16th hole such a big deal?
The par-3 16th is ringed entirely by grandstands, the only hole in golf that works like a stadium, and the noise carries across the course. It is the image most people have of this tournament. If your group wants seats there on a weekend day, get in when the gates open.
What is traffic like during tournament week?
Heaviest Thursday through Saturday, concentrated at the Loop 101 exits near the course in the morning and again when the leaders finish. Most fans park in official lots and shuttle in. Coming from the north you drive against the worst of it, and VacayAZ can arrange a standing driver so nobody in the group deals with parking.
What if some of our group skips a tournament day?
Plenty. The practice complex and the simulator keep the golfers busy, and for everyone else the pool sits at 88 degrees with the spa a good bit hotter at 104. Or walk across the street: the Four Seasons runs a full spa and a lunch menu of its own.
Can transportation to the tournament be arranged?
Yes. Booking and trip logistics run through VacayAZ, which can arrange black car service and other transportation ahead of your stay, along with private chefs, grocery stocking, and tee times.
